Removing and Replacing a PCI Power Supply (Brick)
The PCI power supply is located in the front of the chassis. The system power must be removed to replace this
CRU. See “Shutting down nPartitions and Powering Down Hardware Components.”
CAUTION Observe all ESD safety precautions before attempting this procedure. Failure to follow ESD
safety precautions could result in damage to the SEU.
Preliminary Procedures
Step 1. Identify the failed power supply.
Step 2. Connect to ground with a wrist strap.
Step 3. Visually inspect the replacement part for proper number and revision.
Step 4. Shut down the partition and power off the PCI domain.
Step 5. Remove the Front Bezel.
