Overview Network Configuration Utility Agent The HP Network Configuration Utility (NCU) enables configuration of network adapters and teams of network adapters installed on a ProLiant server. To better support server management, the Replicate Agent Settings tool of HP Systems Insight Manager (HP SIM) has been enhanced to work with the NCU.
Using Network Configuration Utility Agent with HP SIM Replicate Agent Settings tool The Replicate Agent Settings tool lets you configure adapters and adapter teams on target servers based on configuration information transferred from a source server. The target server is not required to be identical to the source server. The Replicate Agent Settings tool identifies adapters by their relative order in the system. The relative order is determined by the following properties.
• TOE and RSS capabilities are only available through Multifunction Server Adapters running Microsoft Scalable Networking Pack (SNP) on Windows Server 2003 (SP1 or later) or Windows Server 2003 x64 (SP1 or later).
