Carefully pull up on the front and right sides of the PCIe card cage to disengage it from the anchoring
pins on the expansion blade enclosure, and then lift the PCIe card cage out of the expansion blade
enclosure (2).
When replacing the PCIe card cage, reverse the removal procedures.
To replace the cage, position the cage over the expansion blade enclosure, align the slots on the right
and left sides of the card cage with the anchoring pins, and then push down until the card cage is firmly
seated.
The PCIe/SAS connectors on the riser board are labeled 1 through 4. Each mezzanine connector
board has two connectors labeled J3 and J4. The PCIe/SAS cables connect the mezzanine connector
boards to the riser board in the following order:
a. Connect the first long PCIe/SAS cable (J3) to the first riser connector.
b. Connect the second long PCIe/SAS cable (J4) to the second riser connector.
c. Connect the first short PCIe/SAS cable (J3) to the third riser connector.
d. Connect the second short PCIe/SAS cable (J4) to the fourth riser connector.
Configuring the WS460c Graphics Expansion Blade
configuration with HBA
NOTE: This unique configuration is for users who want to use a single mezzanine card with the
graphics expansion blade. (For example, using a HBA to connect to storage.) This configuration
permits the use of only one PCIe slot on the graphics expansion blade.
