2 Installing the Cable Management Brackets
Use the following procedure to install the Cisco SFS 7024D InfiniBand Interconnect Cable
Management Brackets.
The location of the bracket depends on the rack position occupied by the Cisco SFS 7024D
InfiniBand Interconnect. The Cisco SFS 7024D InfiniBand Interconnect used in an HP Cluster
Platform solutions are installed in the lower “U” locations of an HP 10K G2 Series 800 millimeter
wide cabinet.
1. Determine the cable management bracket installation locations by aligning the cable
management bracket between the top and bottom of the Cisco SFS 7024D InfiniBand
Interconnect rackmount bracket's rear mounting flanges (see callouts 4 and 7 in Figure 2-1).
Each of the cable management bracket's channels must line up with the twelve rows of ports
on the back of the Cisco SFS 7024D Series InfiniBand Interconnect. The cable management
brackets (callout 3 in Figure 2-1) also mount flush with the top of the bottom rackmount
bracket's rear mounting flanges (see callout 4 in Figure 2-1).
Note:
The cable management brackets are symmetrical and will mount to either the right or left
side as shown in Figure 2-1.
2. Fasten the cable management brackets to the rear rack rails using four M6 screws and four
cage nuts for each cable management bracket, as shown in Figure 2-1.
3. Tighten the fasteners to the recommended torque as shown in Table 1-1 (page 10).
