1 Preparing for Installation
1.1 Audience
This guide is intended for HP service representatives and other persons trained to install hardware
options in the HP 10000 series racks. Such persons are expected to understand the hazards of
working in this environment and to take suitable precautions to minimize danger to themselves
and others.

1.3 Kit Description
The cable management brackets described in this manual are designed to align and support
cables that lead from an HP ProCurve 5406zl system interconnect to the PCI interface cards
installed in each server (node). The brackets provide strain relief, ensure the correct bend radius
for the cables, and provide cable routing and cable management.
1.4 Kit Contents
This kit contains the following components:
• The cable management brackets shown in Figure 1-1.
