1.3 Kit Description
The network and InfiniBand cable management harness described in this manual is designed to
align and support administrative and console network cables, InfiniBand cables, or both that
lead from various devices in the rack to other devices in the rack or an adjacent rack. For example,
the InfiniBand cables that run from an HP BladeSystem c-Class InfiniBand switch mounted in
the rear of the HP BladeSystem c-Class enclosure to another switch, or a similar interconnect
device. The kit provides strain relief for the network and InfiniBand cables and ensures that the
cables are routed properly and secured neatly in the rack. The kit also provides extra straps for
the routing of larger cable bundles, if necessary.
More than one network and InfiniBand cable management harness might be required in each
configuration.
