• One right-hand quad bracket (attaches to the rack columns).
• Four left-hand mounting slides (attaches to the server chassis).
• Four right-hand mounting slides (attaches to the server chassis).

6 Orienting the Components
All orientation instructions are relative to the front of the rack.
6.1 Quad Bracket
The flat surface forms the back of the quad bracket. Figure 1-1 shows the front
and rear orientation of the right-hand bracket (viewing the bracket from the front
of the rack). The numbered callouts indicate installation instructions that are
referenced later in this guide.

The following quad bracket features are referenced in the installation procedure:
1. The track, into which a server is inserted.
2. The front mounting tabs, which insert into the front rack column.
3. The front threaded insert for the server’s locking thumbscrew.
4. The rear mounting tabs, which insert into the rear rack column.
6.2 Mounting Slide
The flat surface forms the back of the mounting slide, and it mounts to the side of
the server chassis.
Figure 1-2 shows the front and rear orientation of the left-hand mounting slide.
