Cable Management Basket Installation Guide

This document describes how to install the HP XC6000 cable management basket into an HP

Model 10642 rack. The cable management basket kit consists of a rack-mounted basket and

a retainer strap. It is designed to support the weight of all cables connected to an HP XC

Interconnect xx6020, as part of the system’s cable management.

To prevent screws from becoming loose due to vibration, HP recommends that you use an adjustable torque driver set to the torque specifications given in Table 1-1.

The retainer strap, which has a single fastener slot at each end. 2. The cable management basket, which has four fastener slots and holes in each end. 3. The M6 x 10 mm screw. 4. The M6 cage nut.

b. Using the basket as a template, hold it against the rack so that its topmost mounting holes (callout 1) align with the holes next to position 26 on the rack column. Using a marker or tape, mark the rack mounting positions that align with all eight screw holes on the basket (four to each rack column). d.

b. Insert an M6 x 10 mm screw in each cage nut, (eight screws in all) using just a few turns to retain the screw without tightening it. c. Tighten all eight screws to their specified torque. The cable management basket is now ready to receive the cable bundles. 8 Cabling and Power Follow the cabling sequence instructions for the HP XC Interconnect xx6020 cables. (See Section 2 for the location of HP XC system documentation.
