b. Insert an M6 x 10 mm screw in each cage nut, (eight screws in all) using
just a few turns to retain the screw without tightening it.
c. Tighten all eight screws to their specified torque.
The cable management basket is now ready to receive the cable bundles.
8 Cabling and Power
Follow the cabling sequence instructions for the HP XC Interconnect xx6020
cables. (See Section 2 for the location of HP XC system documentation.) The
cabling instructions are designed to ensure that the correct number of cables are
grouped and bound together. The weight of each cable bundle must be supported
by the various cable management straps located throughout the rack. When
first connecting a cable to an HP XC Interconnect xx6020 port, use the following
procedure:
1. Connect the cable to the port on the HP XC Interconnect xx6020 line card and
loop it into the basket to take the weight of the cable off the port.
2. Repeat step 1 until you have connected the recommended number of cables
to form a cable bundle, as specified in the cable management guidelines for
the system.
3. Strap the cable bundle with the appropriate ties and route the cable to its next
support point, as defined in the HP XC Interconnect xx6020 cable management
guidelines for the specific installation that you are configuring.
