Gigabit Ethernet Interconnect Guide

The HP ProCurve 2650 has a power connector, but it does not have a power switch. It is powered
on when connected to an active AC power source. The automatically adjusts to any voltage
between 100 volts and 240 volts (50–60 Hz). No voltage range settings are required.
The console port on the back of the ProCurve 2650 (Figure 2-2) connects to a console via a serial
cable. Use a PC or a workstation running a VT-standard terminal interface for the console.

Note:
The ProCurve 2650 has two cooling vents, which must not be obstructed for proper switch
operation.
Note:
The HP ProCurve 2650 is installed in the rack with the back side facing the front of the rack.
2.2 ProCurve 2650 LEDs and Buttons
The front panel of the ProCurve 2650 has seven types of LEDs, as described in Table 2-1. The
rear panel of the ProCurve 2650 does not have any LEDs.
