6.1 HP ProCurve 5406zl Overview
The HP ProCurve 5406zl is available as an open 6-slot chassis and as the HP ProCurve 5406zl-48G
bundle with two 24-port 10/100/1000-T zl modules pre-installed. When the 4U high 5406zl is
used in HP Cluster Platform solutions, the six module slots support the following components:
• Six (6) 24-port GigE switches (144 ports). See Section 6.3.
• Six (6) 4-port 10-GbE switches (24 ports). See Section 6.4.
The HP ProCurve 5406zl-48G has two 24-port GigE modules for a total of 48 GigE ports.
Figure 6-1 shows the front view of the HP ProCurve 5406zl-48G.
