8.1.2 ProCurve 9308M
The ProCurve 9308M (Figure 8-2) has 8 open module slots for up to 14 10 GbE ports, 120 Gigabit
Ethernet ports, 336 auto-sensing 10/100 ports, or a combination. Slots are numbered 1 – 8, from
left to right. The slot numbers are absolute and do not change based on the position of the
management module. The ProCurve 9308M is used as a system interconnect for HP Cluster
Platform solutions with up to 120 nodes. The nodes connect directly to the ProCurve 9308M in
a star configuration.
