HP Cluster Platform InfiniBand Interconnect Installation and User's Guide

7 Cabling the Interconnect
Each model of HP cluster platform has a set of specific port-to-port cabling tables that describe
the origin and destination of every link between the interconnect and the cluster nodes. When
the cluster is integrated at the factory, the cables are installed and tested. Certain cables are then
removed and the cluster racks are packaged for shipping. At the receiving site, installation
engineers cable up the system according to a system-specific cabling table.
Perform cabling operations in reference to the Cabling Tables and Ethernet Cabling Tables for
your model of HP cluster Platform. Cables are labelled for their origin and destination ports
when the cluster is assembled at the factory. You can connect cables to a chassis that is powered
up and has completed all its initialization steps.
