Quadrics QsNetII Interconnect

All firmware revisions should be the same for all controller card. Use only
the firmware revision that is supported by HP for your cluster model and
operating environment.
5. If you need to upgrade the firmware, open a connection to the controller card
and select the option titled:
5. Firmware upgrade from the main menu.
The firmware upgrade procedure is described in Section 11.5.
6. Log in to the cluster’s control node and run the qsnetstat command to verify
the interconnect network as follows:
# /opt/qsnet/bin/qsnetstat
The output from the qsnetstat command is described in Section 12.2.1.
7. Examine the /proc/qsnet/elan4/device0/position file for each node.
Ensure that each node reports that it is connected to the correct interconnect
port, according to its designated role and configuration. See Section 12.2.4 for
more information on the position file.
8. Run the qselantest on all nodes. (Clusters running HP XC can either run
on each node or use qselantestp to test and parse nodes in parallel). See
Section 12.3.2 for more information on running this command.
9. Run qsportmap, as described in Section 12.16
10. If the cluster is running HP XC, perform steps 10 and 11, otherwise, go to
step 12.
The qsnet2_level_test wrapper script for qsnet2_dmatest specifies the
U
n argument where n is the level, in the range 1 to 5. Use this test as follows:
a. Determine whether your system is a full bandwidth or reduced bandwidth
configuration. If the cluster has a reduced bandwidth configuration,
follow the additional test rules defined in Section 12.11.
b. Run qsnet2_level_test on the system, incorporating the appropriate
nodes depending on the bandwidth. Test in sequence levels 1, 2, and
3, ensuring that each level passes before proceeding to the next level.
(See the /proc/qsnet/elan4/device0/position file described in
Section 12.2.4 file to establish how many levels are present in your cluster
See Section 12.5 for information on the qsnet2_level_test command.
11. On clusters running HP XC only, run the qsnet2_level_test command on
the system as follows:
Test in sequence levels 4 and 5 on
a federated cluster ensuring that each level passes before proceeding to
the next level. (See the /proc/qsnet/elan4/device0/position file
described in Section 12.2.4 file to establish how many levels are present
in your cluster
See Section 12.5 for information on the qsnet2_level_test command.
