building blocks Units of the Cluster Platform (a single rack) used to house like nodes and associated hardware
by function. See CBB, UBB, or IBB.
C
CBB Compute Building Block—Unit of a Cluster Platform comprised of Application Nodes.
Console Network An Ethernet network used for console functions.

InfiniBand Ultra high bandwidth and low latency network.
Insight CMU HP Insight Cluster Management Utility.
IPMI Intelligent Platform Management Interface.
K
KVM Keyboard, video, and mouse.
N
node A node equates to a single server within the Cluster Platform.
node group Organization of Application Nodes, which are configured identically. A Cluster Platform must
have at least one node group.
