6. Remove the server from the rack and position it securely on a workbench or other solid
surface for stability and safety.
To remove the access panel on the HP ProLiant DL145, as shown in Figure 3-7, follow these steps:
1. Remove the server from the rack, as described in Section 3.1.2.
2. To detach the access panel from the chassis, follow these steps:
• For the DL145 G1, loosen the two captive thumbscrews at the back of the server, as
shown in Figure 3-7.
