HP Cluster Platform Server and Workstation Overview

5 Workstations
Some HP Cluster Platform solutions support HP workstations. This chapter presents an overview
of the following HP workstations:
HP xw8200 Workstation (see Section 5.1)
HP xw8400 Workstation (see Section 5.2)
HP xw9300 Workstation (see Section 5.3)
HP xw9400 Workstation (see Section 5.4)
5.1 HP xw8200 Workstation Overview
The HP xw8200 is an Intel-based dual processing workstation with Hyper-Threading technology.
It is equipped with the Intel E7525 high-end performance chipset for Intel Xeon processors.
Hyperthreading technology, developed by Intel, enables a single processor to execute multiple
threads of instructions simultaneously. Hyperthreading technology enables the processor to use
its execution resources more efficiently, delivering performance increases and improving user
productivity.
Table 5-1 describes the standard features of the HP xw8200 Workstation.
