3. Remove the two screws on each mounting flange.
4. Slide the server out of the rack until the rail locks engage.
5. Press and hold the rail locks, extend the server until it clears the rack.
6. Remove the server from the rack and position it securely on a workbench or other solid
surface for stability and safety.
5.2 HP xw8400 Workstation Overview
The HP xw8400 is an Intel-based dual processing, dual-core, high-end graphics workstation. It
is equipped with the high-end performance Intel 5000X–64 GB chipset for Intel Xeon processors.
HP Performance Tuning Framework (PTF) comes pre-installed to guide workstation setup and
custom configuration to help increase performance of selected applications and overall
productivity.
Table 5-3 describes the standard features of the HP xw8400 workstation.
