Version 7.1.0–01 Description This package contains updated HP P9000 Replication Manager Software. For the specific issues resolved, see “Fixes” (page 4) in this document. Update recommendation Recommended Supersedes 7.1.
• Replication Manager no longer exits from maintenance mode whenever the service stops. Replication Manager remains in maintenance mode, even if the service is stopped and restarted. • When installing the Application Agent, the installer automatically installs the Device Manager agent that is the prerequisite program.
• On the Group Management page of Pair Configuration wizard on a mainframe system, if a user selected the HS check box, the Apply Open/MF CTG check box, or both, saved the workflow, and then started the Group Management page again from workflow editing, Replication Manager incorrectly cleared one or both of the aforementioned check boxes. Even if the user reselected the cleared check boxes, Replication Manager did not reflect the selected options.
Launching Pair Configuration Wizard If all of the following conditions are met when you launch Pair Configuration Wizard, the launch may fail with the KAVN00209-E error message. 1. Among the copy groups configuring a multi-target configuration, a copy pair with a different configuration from the other copy pairs (such as a copy pair included in only one copy group) exists. 2.
Confirmed issue After operation of the Application Agent CLI or operation of Application Linkage from the Replication Manager GUI, the primary volume might be disconnected from the database server (file server) when the server is rebooted or when the scanning for disks is performed. Conditions of occurrence This issue occurs when all of the following conditions are met: ◦ A configuration where group information is imported to RAID Manager.
3. Confirm that the primary volume allows INQUIRY. PROMPT>raidvchkdsp –g –g Grp01 –d vol01 -v gflag Group PairVol Device_File Seq# LDEV# GI-C-R-W-S PI-C-R-W-S R-Time Grp01 vol01 Harddisk1 2332 3 E E E E E E E E E E – Confirm that the value of the GI attribute is E (= INQUIRY is allowed).
NOTE: To confirm the RAID Manager process name output to the last record of the log, open the Application Agent trace log file. The Application Agent trace log file name: \DRM\log\drm_pp_trace.log (where is a numeric character) 5. • Click the Terminate Process button. Note the following item when performing replica operations for Microsoft SQL Server using Application Agent.
Managing copy pairs in a configuration that uses a device group or a virtual command device When managing copy pairs in a configuration that uses a device group or a virtual command device, the response time for RAID Manager commands increases compared to managing copy pairs in a configuration that uses a physical command device.
This issue occurs when all of the following conditions are met: • No Replication Manager license is registered, and Replication Manager is started from Device Manager. • From the Pair Configurations view (accessible by Explorer→Resources→Pair Configurations, the Copy Pair Summary is viewed (accessible by selecting Pair Configurations→Pair Management Servers→Config Files→Copy Groups. • Copy pairs that cannot be viewed are in the copy group selected in the previous issue.
