Service name: HBaseStgMgmtComService
Start parameters: Specify nothing.
Registry Replication: Specify nothing.
Select Finish.
7. Register the Device Manager server as a resource. Right-click on the left side of the Cluster
Administrator window, and select New > Resource. Specify the following settings:
New Resource.
Name: DeviceManagerServer
Resource type: Generic Service
Possible Owners: Make sure that the executing and standby nodes have been added.
Dependencies: Name of the shared disk drive
Generic Service Parameters :
Service name: DeviceManagerServer
Start parameters: Specify nothing.
Registry Replication: Specify nothing.
Select Finish.
8. Make sure that the registered resources are online.
3-3-5 Upgrading or reinstalling Device Manager in a cluster
environment
CAUTION: If Device Manager and other XP Command View AE Suite Products are already
running in a cluster environment, make sure that you make the necessary preparations, such as
canceling the cluster configuration, before starting installation. For details about the necessary
preparations, see subsection
3-3-2 .
3-3-5-1 Upgrading or reinstalling the Device Manager server on the executing
node
NOTE: If the service is not online on the executing node, first place it online, and then perform an
upgrade installation or re-installation.
NOTE: Do not stop the Common Component services while another XP Command View AE Suite
program is running.
1. If services are offline, place them online.
2. Display Cluster Administrator:
Select Start > Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Cluster Administrator.
3. Place the following services offline:
DeviceManagerServer
HBase Storage Mgmt Web Service
HBase Storage Mgmt Common Service
The above services are represented by the resource names registered in subsection
3-3-3-3 .
4. Stop the services of XP Command View AE Suite.
