The auto option can be specified only when XP Command View AE Suite products whose
versions are 5.7 or later have been installed:
<common component installation folder>\bin\hcmdsdbtrans /export
/workpath working-folder /file archive-file /auto
The following shows an example of executing the command:
C:\Program Files\CVXPAE\Base\bin\hcmdsdbtrans /export /workpath
D:\trans_work /file D:\trans_file\db_arc /auto
In the hcmdsdbtrans command, you can specify the following options:
workpath
Specify the absolute path to the folder where you wish to temporarily store database
information. Specify a folder on your local disk.
CAUTION: Make sure that no files or subfolders are in the folder specified for the workpath
option. If there are any files or subfolders in the folder, the export processing will be aborted. In
such a case, delete the files or subfolders in the folder, and then re-execute the hcmdsdbtrans
command.
file
Specify the absolute path to the archive file of the database to be exported.
The following table lists the actions to be taken when an error message is output. If a message
that does not have one the following message IDs is output, take actions according to the
message.
auto
Specify this option to stop the XP Command View AE Suite services and to start HiRDB
automatically as preparation for processing the database. After the command is executed,
the XP Command View AE Suite services and HiRDB are started. Note that the services of
XP Command View AE Suite products whose versions are earlier than 5.7 are not started
and stopped automatically.
4. Transfer the exported file to the migration destination server.
If the archive file cannot be created, transfer all the files stored in the folder specified by the
workpath option. In that case, do not change the file structure in the folder specified by the
workpath option.
3-7-3-5 Importing the database at the migration destination server
CAUTION: If the OS of the migration destination server is Linux, follow the procedure in
subsection
4-5-3-5 .
To import the database at the migration destination server:
1. If XP Command View AE Suite products whose versions are earlier than 5.7 have been
installed, stop their services.
For details about how to stop these services, see the manual for your product version.
2. From the command prompt, execute the hcmdsdbtrans command:
<common component installation folder>\bin\hcmdsdbtrans /import
/workpath working-folder [/file archive-file] /type {ALL | XP-Command-
View-AE-Suite-whose-databases-will-be-migrated} /auto
The following shows an example of executing the command:
C:\Program Files\CVXPAE\Base\bin\hcmdsdbsrv /start
3. From the command prompt, execute the hcmdsdbtrans command.
