Resetting the agent service execution user on Windows
After an overwrite installation or upgrade on Windows, the agent service execution user setting reverts
to the default (LocalSystem). If the agent execution user is not LocalSystem, change this setting
after the installation.
To reapply the setting, go to Windows Computer Management and modify the HBsA Service account
information.
Registering firewall exceptions (Windows)
When you perform an unattended installation and you have Windows Firewall enabled, you must
add port numbers to the firewall exceptions list.
• The port number specified for the server.agent.port property in the server.properties
file (Default: 24041/tcp)
• The port number specified for the server.http.port property in the server.properties
file (Default: 24042/tcp)
• The port number specified for the server.http.localPort property in the server.proper-
ties file (Default: 24043/tcp)
1. Log in to Windows using a user ID with Administrator permissions.
2. Execute the following command to add the port numbers used by the Device Manager agent to
the exceptions list:
Device-Manager-agent-installation-folder\bin\firewall_setup.bat -set
