license add <string> to key in the license
directly. If you used email or a temporary file, cut
and paste the string exactly as you obtained it
from the HP Licensing website. It is not advised
to try and key in the LTU manually.
4. The key is specific to the HP StoreOnce Backup
System couplet to which it applies. It cannot be
transferred.
Discovering and Adding the New Storage
NOTE: HP recommends discovering and
adding the storage during a quiet period of
backups and replication because performance
will be slower during this time.
After you have installed and cabled the capacity
upgrade kit, you must use the following CLI commands
to discover and add the new storage to your system.
The storage is not available until you perform the
following commands:
• hardware discover storage
• hardware add storage
You can periodically check the progress of the add
storageprocess using the CLI command system show
status.

After these commands are executed, the appliance
will be online and ready to accept backups. However,
you may not see the additional storage immediately.
This could take anywhere from one to four hours
depending on how much additional storage has been
added and how busy the system is during this time.
