D2D The previous name of the HP StoreOnce Backup Systems product line.
deduplication The feature in which only a single copy of a data block is stored on a device. Duplicate information
is removed, thereby reducing the amount of storage used by a given data block.

Gen2 Refers to HP StoreOnce 250x, 400x, 41xx, and 43xx series devices.
Gen3 multi-node Refers to HP StoreOnce B6200 and 6500 devices.
Gen3 single node Refers to HP StoreOnce 26xx, 27xx, 42xx, 44xx, 45xx, 47xx, and 49xx devices.
group A group consists of HP StoreOnce Replication devices (target, source, and non-replicating) that
are added to Enterprise Manager and are allocated to a specific client or organization. Those
with user-level permissions can see groups to which they have been granted access. Those with
administrator-level permissions can see all groups in Enterprise Manager. Devices and users can
be added to or removed from a group, as appropriate, by an administrator.

library A system on which many tapes are stored for easy retrieval. For the HP StoreOnce Enterprise
Manager, it is a virtual library.

NAS Share A NAS (Network Attached Storage) Share is a shared folder that resides on a NAS server, and
is a network location from and to which files are transferred. For the HP StoreOnce Enterprise
Manager, it is either a NAS share or allocated space that acts as a NAS share.
