HP StoreOnce 6500 (88TB) Capacity Expansion guide (BB897-90914, January 2014)

Hardware Storage Clusters Couplet 1 Storage Cluster 1 Pool (C1_P1) andHardware
Storage Clusters Couplet 1 Storage Cluster 2 Pool (C4_P1).
NOTE: When you expand capacity, additional pools are created for each set of disks. There is
a separate Storage Cluster for each disk enclosure. However, because the servers in the couplet
are cabled to both disk enclosures to enable failover, when you expand the Hardware tree you
will see that the status is degraded for Couplet 1 Storage Cluster 1 and Couplet 1 Storage Cluster
2. Both Pool C1_P2 (in Couplet 1 Storage Cluster 1) and Pool C4_P2 (in Couplet 1 Storage Cluster
2) are degraded while the filesystem is expanded.
1. Open the ssh application and log into the IP address for the StoreOnce Management Console
using the Administrator account.
2. Scan for the newly-attached storage and create the RAID volumes Logical Units (LUNs) using
the following StoreOnce CLI commands :
system show status hardware show storage status hardware discover
storage
