6. Connect the SAS data cable to the tape drive, as illustrated below. Connect a spare power cable
from the server's internal power supply to the power connector on the SAS data cable.

7. If you have lost the use of a disk bay, we strongly recommend that you attach a sticker to the
blanking plate of the disk bay to show that it is disconnected. An appropriate sticker is provided
with the DAT 160 tape drive.
NOTE:
If you subsequently install a hard disk in this bay, it will not work. This does not mean there
is a fault with either the disk or the server.
