The release includes updated firmware for DAT 320 USB tape drives.
HP StorageWorks Library and Tape Tools (HP L&TT) must be used to download firmware to the tape
drive.

Fixes
• With at least one pattern of encrypted records, unencrypted records, and filemarks on the media,
the DAT320 may report incorrect Next Block Encryption Status. This problem manifested itself
while performing an append to an encrypted backup and has been corrected in VUA2 version
of DAT320 firmware.
• The DAT320 Encryption LED was not working as the customer expected. Changes were made in
VUA2 to resolve the discrepancy.
• The DAT320 Ready LED did not flash as expected during small block read activity when an ILI
condition is present. This problem has been resolved in VUA2 version of DAT320 firmware.
• Corrected some minor DAT160 format violations when utilizing DAT160 media.
Enhancements
• Improved read and write reliability to DAT160 media.
• Changes were introduced to enhance the DAT320 read transfer rate.
