9. Give execute permission to the following files:
a. HP/install
b. HP/lin/x86/dplingil
c. HP/lin/x86/dplingin
d. HP/lin/x86_64/dplingil
e. HP/lin/x86_64/dplingin
10. Go to the “HP” folder and type ./install to launch the installer.
11. Select “upgrade existing installation” and continue.
Verification on Linux
After the installation, start the DPX administrator GUI and go to Help —>About. The version
displayed now should be Data Protector Express Version 5.0.01 build 70262
