Access Gateway-moded switches
After discovery, you can view information about Access Gateway-moded switches.
Discovering an Access Gateway switch
Discover an Enterprise fabric by providing the IP address of the seed switch running Fabric OS
v5.3.0 or later. Fabric Manager automatically discovers all these switches through the fabric. It can
then communicate with the Access Gateway-moded switch directly.
During the discovery process, you must supply authentication credentials to be applied to the
entire fabric, and, by extension, all Access Gateway-moded switches connected to that fabric.
Subnet scans do not list the Access Gateway-moded switches that are connected to an enterprise
fabric; use the Discover feature to discover these types of switches.
