Setting the SYSLOG server destination manually
1. Select Tasks > SYSLOG Configuration to launch the SYSLOG Server Destination
Registration/Deregistration dialog box, as shown in Figure 200.

2. From the Fabric list, select the fabric to which you want to add the destination. All switches in
the fabric will be added.
3. If the SYSLOG server IP address is not already defined, type the IP address in the text field.
4. Click Add to add the destination.
5. Repeat steps 2 through 4 for any additional fabrics to which you want to add the destination.
6. Click Close.
De-registering the SYSLOG destination
1. Select Tasks > SYSLOG Configuration to launch the SYSLOG Server Destination
Registration/Deregistration dialog box, as shown in Figure 200.
2. From the list, select the fabric from which you want to remove the destination. All switches in
the fabric will be removed.
3. Click Remove to delete the destination from all managed switches in the fabric.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for any additional fabrics from which you want to remove the destination.
5. Click Close.

Configuring the SYSLOG registration policy
1. Select Tasks > SYSLOG Configuration.
2. Choose Configure SYSLOG Destination Registration Policy.
3. Ensure that there is a check mark in Auto register SYSLOG destination on the managed
switches. If there is no check mark, click the check box to the left of the text.
4. Click OK.
