Changing the Web Server port number
1. Click the Settings tab.
2. Type a new port number in the Web Server port field.
Do not use port 2638, and do not use the ten consecutive port numbers that were reserved for
Fabric Manager during server installation. These ports are reserved for Fabric Manager to use
internally.
3. Click Apply to save the changes.
You must restart the server for the change to take effect.
SYSLOG listening port
Using the Settings tab of the Server Management Console, you can change the SYSLOG listening
port number. The configuration setting applies to the entire Fabric Manager server and not to
selected switches. The default syslog listening port number is 514.
NOTE
The SYSLOG registration policy is applicable only if the Fabric Manager SYSLOG service is set to
listen for messages on port 514. If you define any other port, you must register the SYSLOG
destination manually using the SYSLOG Registration dialog.
