Segmented switches appear with a red - (minus sign) overlaid over the topology node in the View
panel.
A red - (minus sign) is overlaid on the segmented switch both in the Scope and View panel of fabric
view.
When a new switch joins the fabric, an amber + (plus sign) is overlaid on the new switch both in the
Scope and View panel of fabric view.
Changing the default color of persistently disabled ports
1. Click Edit > Preferences in the Menu bar.
The Preferences dialog box displays.
2. Expand User Specific and select General (see Figure 35 on page 53).
3. Select the color you want to indicate persistently disabled ports.
Refreshing the window
Fabric Manager views are updated periodically, depending on your SAN size, as shown in Table 6.
The Fabric Manager window is automatically updated whenever you switch views, such as
switching from the SAN View to the Fabric View. The tables in the Information panel are
automatically updated whenever you click a different tab.
You can manually refresh the status at any time using one of the following methods:
Right-click a switch or fabric element and select Refresh Status Information from the context
menu. Using Refresh Status Information to refresh a switch typically provides quicker updates
than refreshing an entire fabric.
NOTE
Fabric Manager updates the Admin Domain information every 30 minutes. Using the Refresh
Fabric Data option from the right-click menu does not refresh this information.
Click Refresh in the View panel to refresh the view.
Click the Refresh link in the Information panel. This method refreshes only the information in
the visible table. The header of the Information panel indicates the last time the panel was
refreshed.
Select Discovery > Refresh from the menu bar.
Figure 31 illustrates the various ways you can manually refresh the Fabric Manager views.
