1. First recommendations: • Refer to the Media type functionality & features and choose the most appropriate media. • It is essential that you have the media type correctly calibrated with the printer, refer to the Calibrate my printer section. • In order to get a correct display, it’s also essential that you have the monitor profiled, refer to the Profile my monitor document.
o Select OK. 4. Configure the Preview Preferences, FreeHand MX menu > Preferences… > Redraw tab: • Select Set on-screen image resolution if it is not already selected. Check the Full checkbox to display imported TIFF files at the highest resolution available. • Select OK. 5. Open your document, File menu > Open…, create a new one, File menu > New…, or import an image, File menu > Import…. 6.
7. Print your design, Select File menu > Print…: • Printer: Select the printer (ex. HP Designjet Z3100ps 44in Photo). o Printer Driver settings; Image Quality pane: • Paper Type: Select the media type that is loaded on the printer. • Quality Options: Standard and drag the slider to Quality.
o Color Options > Basic tab: • Select Print in Color. • Select Color Management > Application Managed Colors.
o FreeHand print settings; FreeHand MX tab: • Select Quality PS Level 2 in the drop-down menu. • Select the Scale % option you need.
• Click Advanced… button: o Separations pane: • o Imaging pane: • o • Ensure the Composite option is selected. Ensure the Convert RGB to process option is selected. Paper Setup pane: • Paper Size: Select the size of the paper that is loaded into the printer. • Select the Orientation option that you need. Select OK and Print.
