1. First recommendations: • See the Media type functionality & features and choose the most appropriate media. • It is essential you have the media type correctly calibrated with the printer and print mode, consult the Calibrate my printer document. • In order to get a correct display, it’s also essential you have the monitor profiled, consult the Profile my monitor document. 2.
• Select OK. 5. Open the image, File menu > Open…: 6. If the document has an embedded color profile that does not match the current working space, select Use the embedded profile. Otherwise, select Assign working space; in this case, if the displayed image does not look correct, try assigning it to other color spaces with Edit > Assign Profile (try sRGB, Adobe RGB, ColorMatch RGB and others) until you are satisfied.
• Select OK. 7. Place the images if needed, File menu > Place…, browse to the image and click Open…. 8. So that you get a good display select a High Quality Display, View menu > Display Performance > High Quality Display. 9. Make sure you have configured the Document Setup appropriately for your document, File menu > Document Setup…. 10.
• Select OK. • Now, you can retouch your image and the monitor will show you how it’s going to look once you’ve printed it. • At the moment it is not possible to proof the output on your monitor with Fine Arts papers and Perceptual rendering intent. If you use this type of media, you should generate a new color profile for your paper. Refer to the following document which explains this solution: Create and install a new ICC profile with the Advanced Profiling Solution. 11.
