First recommendations: • See the Media type functionality & features and choose the most appropriate media. • It is essential you have the media type correctly calibrated with the printer, consult the Calibrate my printer document. • In order to get a correct display, it’s also essential you have the monitor calibrated, consult the Profile my monitor section. 2.

Create the contact sheet, File menu > Automate > Contact Sheet II…: • Source Images > Use: Folder and then select the Browse button to specify the folder containing the images you want to use. Select Include All Subfolders to include images inside any subfolders. • Document: o Specify the Dimensions and Resolution for the contact sheet. o Mode: RGB Color.
o Flatten All Layers: Select this to create a contact sheet with all images and text on a single layer. Deselect Flatten All Layers to create a contact sheet in which each image is on a separate layer and each caption is on a separate text layer. • Thumbnails: Specify layout options for the thumbnail previews. Select Rotate For Best Fit to rotate the images, regardless of their orientation, so they fit efficiently on a contact sheet.
o Print: Document. o Options > Color Handling: Let Photoshop Determine Colors. o Options > Printer profile: Select the right profile for your printer and paper type. If you are printing on photo gloss paper, select the right color profile with the gloss enhancement feature (GE ON). o Options > Rendering Intent: Perceptual. 6. Select Print One. 7. Driver Settings; select Properties button: • Paper/Quality tab: o Paper Type: Select the media type that is loaded on the printer.
• Color tab > Color Options: o Select Print in color. o Select Color Management > Application Managed Colors. NOTE Once the color management option “Let Photoshop Determine Colors” was selected, the option “Printer Managed Colors” will be automatically gray out. Adobe Photoshop version 9.0.1 does not gray out the non-selected color management option. Ensure the selected option is the correct one.
• Select OK twice. The spectrophotometer allows HP Designjet Z3100 printers to generate custom color profiles automatically for your preferred paper types. If the printed image does not look correct, you can create your own color profile easily for use with your paper. Please, consult the follwing document to create and install a new color profile automatically: Create and Install ICC profile for an existing paper.
