First recommendations: • In order to get a correct display, it’s also essential you have the monitor calibrated, refer to the Profile my monitor document. • Refer to the Media type functionality & features and choose the most appropriate media. • Ensure that the Paper Type setting on the front panel corresponds to the paper that you intend to use. It is essential that the paper is correctly color calibrated for the printer; refer to the Calibrate my printer document.
• Click OK.
. Open the image, File menu > Open…: • If the document has an embedded color profile that does not match the current working space, select Use the embedded profile. Otherwise, select Assign current working space. • Click OK. 5. If you place an image, you should embed the image in the document. If it has an embedded profile, it will be converted from the embedded color profile to the document color profile preserving the color appearance.
7. Previews of your work. Check the print layout and the overall output before printing; Select Adobe Illustrator settings; File menu > Print…: • Choose driver settings, click Setup… button: • Click Printer button and select your printer (ex. HP Designjet Z6100 44in Photo). • Click Preferences button: o Paper/Quality tab: • Document size: Select the media size that is loaded on the printer. • Orientation: Select the orientation of the paper.
o Color tab > Color Options: • Select Print in color. • Select Color management > Printer managed colors: • o Default RGB Source Profile: Select sRGB (HP). o Default CMYK Source Profile: Select Europe ISO Coated FOGRA27 (for Europe), U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2 (for US) and Japan Standard v2 (for Japan). o Rendering Intent: Select Relative Colorimetric and Black Point Compensation option. Check Show preview before printing check box. • Click OK and Print until the Illustrator print dialog box.
• Adobe Illustrator Print… settings: o o • General (left hand menu): • Media > Size: Defined by Driver. • Options: Select the scaling option you need. Color Management (left hand menu): • Print Method > Color Handling: Let PostScript® printer determine colors. • Print Method > Rendering Intent: Relative Colorimetric. Click Print.
. Check the print draft; if it meets your expectations, you are ready to print your job. Print the fist copy, Adobe Illustrator File menu > Print…: • Choose driver settings, click Setup… button: • Click Printer button and select your printer (ex. HP Designjet Z6100 44in Photo). • Select the Number of copies you need. • Click Preferences button: Select the same printer settings you choose in step 7. • Click OK twice. • Select the same application settings you choose in step 7 and click Print. 9.
