As a creative professional, predictable and consistent results from your printer are essential to getting your job done. This guide will explain several elements you need to keep under control to make your printer behave consistently in terms of color when you are intended to reprint your job. You should consider that there are various factors that can influence our opinions plot to plot, such as: • The environmental conditions: Changes in temperature, humidity, or lighting.
1. Open Adobe Photoshop CS2. 2. Configure the Color Settings, Edit menu > Color Settings…: • Make sure the More Options are displayed. • Working Space > RGB: Select profile of the scanner or camera you have used to get the photo (source profile), if you do not have it, select sRGB. • Working Space > CMYK: Europe ISO Coated FOGRA27 (for Europe), U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2 (for US) and Japan Standard v2 (for Japan). • Color Management Policies: Preserve Embedded Profiles.
• Click OK. 3. Open the image, File menu> Open…: If the document has an embedded color profile that does not match the current working space, select Use the embedded profile. Otherwise, select Assign working space; in this case, if the displayed image does not look correct, try assigning it to other color spaces with Edit > Assign Profile (try sRGB, Adobe RGB, ColorMatch RGB and others) until you are satisfied.
4. Adobe Photoshop Print with Preview… settings. File menu > Print with Preview…: • Make sure the More Options are displayed. • Select the Color Management tab: • o Print: Document. o Options > Color Handling: Let Printer Determine Colors. o Options > Printer Profile: Select the profile of the printer and media type you will use to print. o Options > Rendering Intent: Perceptual (for RGB images) or Relative Colorimetric (for CMYK images). o Check Black Point Compensation check box.
. Driver Settings; Properties button: • Paper/Quality tab: o Paper Options: • Print Quality: Select Standard options and drag the slider to Quality.
• • Color tab > Color Options: o Select Print in color. o Select Color management > Select Application Managed Colors. Click OK twice. 7. Reprint this job: • • Following the described procedure. Through the Embedded web server, go to the Job queue, select the job you want to reprint, and then click the Reprint button. A file can also be printed again if was stored in the printer.
