Contents of the HP Scalable NAS distribution
The HP Scalable NAS distribution contains the following files:
• pmxs-3.7.0-<xxxx>.<arch>.rpm. The HP Scalable NAS software in Red
Hat Package Manager (RPM) format. The RPM also includes drivers for the sup-
ported Host Bus Adapters.
• mxconsole-3.7.0-<xxxx>.<arch>.rpm. The Management Console and
mx utility in RPM format.
• mxconsole_3.7.0.<xxxx>.<arch>.msi. The Management Console and
mx utility in Microsoft Windows format.
• pmxs-quota-tools-3.13-<xxxx>.<arch>.rpm. Linux quota commands
modified for use on the PSFS filesystem.
• pmxs-quota-tools-3.13-<xxxx>.src.rpm. The source for Linux quota
commands modified for use on the PSFS filesystem.
• mxsperfmon-3.7.0-<xxxx>.<arch>.rpm. The Performance Dashboard
software.
The FS Option distribution includes these files:
• mxfs-3.7.0-<xxxx>.<arch>.rpm. The FS Option for Linux software.
• mxfs-cifs-3.7.0-<xxxx>.<arch>.rpm. The Samba deployment kit.
• mxfs-<os>-support-3.7.0-<xxxx>.<arch>.rpm. The FS Option support
RPM.
The MxDB-Oracle-HiAv distribution includes this file:
mxdb_oracle_ha-3.7.0-<xxxx>.<arch>.rpm. The MxDB-Oracle-HiAv software.
Verify downloaded RPMs
If you downloaded the HP Scalable NAS software, take the following steps to verify
the signature of the RPMs:
1. Install the public key file from the product distribution:
$ rpm --import hp-css.pub
2. Run the following command to verify the signature.
$ rpm –K <rpm to verify>
Header SHA1 digest: OK (MD5_checksum)
MD5 digest: OK (MD5_checksum)
