3.7.0 HP StorageWorks HP Scalable NAS File Serving Software upgrade guide HP Scalable NAS for Linux (AG513-96005, October 2009)

6. Copy Samba configuration files to all other nodes. Run the following HP Scalable
NAS script:
/opt/hpcfs/tools/smbcfg_dist
This script copies the following files to the other cluster nodes:
smb.conf
smb.conf.<virtual-host>
smb.default
smbpasswd
smbusers
smb.fstab
lmhosts
Use scp to copy any other configuration files to the /etc/samba directory on
the other nodes.
The Samba virtual host should now be up and running.
Upgrade the Management Console on clients
The stand-alone Management Console must be upgraded to version 3.7.0 on any
client systems currently running an earlier version of the console.
On Linux systems, remove the old version of the software:
# rpm -e mxconsole
Then install the new version:
# rpm -i <mountpoint>/mxconsole-3.7.0-<xxxx>.<arch>.rpm
On Windows systems, select Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs
and remove the old version of the software. To install the new version, double-click
the file mxconsole_3.7.0.<xxxx>.<arch>.msi.
Create an administrative filesystem
The new replication and Performance Dashboard features require that an
administrative filesystem exist on the cluster. If you will be using either of these
features, be sure to create the filesystem as described in the HP Scalable NAS File
Serving Software administration guide under Create the administrative filesystem.
