Chapter 13: Configure Event Notifiers and View Events 163
For more information about notifier scripts, see “Using Custom Notifier
Scripts” on page 164.
View Configurations from the Command Line
The following command can be used to view the events configured for
one or more notifier services:
mx eventnotifier viewconfig [--snmp] [--email] [--script]
With no options, the command displays the configured events for all of
the notifier services.
Test Notifier Services
The configuration tabs for the SNMP, email, and script notification
services contain a Test button that verifies that events can be sent to the
configured notification service. An error will be reported if the service is
disabled or is not configured.
Enable or Disable a Notifier Service
The tabs used to configure the notifier services also have a checkbox to
disable the services. Use this checkbox to disable/enable the services as
necessary.
To enable or disable a notifier service from the command line, use these
commands:
mx eventnotifier enable [--snmp] [--email] [--script]
mx eventnotifier disable [--snmp] [--email] [--script]
Restore Notifier Event Settings to Default Values
By default, HP Clustered File System configures the notification services
with the event IDs that appear as Alerts on the HP Management Console.
Click the Restore Default button on the Event Definition to remove any
customizations you have made and return the event ID configuration to
the original HP Clustered File System settings.
Select the event notifier services that should be restored to the defaults on
the following window.
