Chapter 4: Cluster Administration 26
User: Type the name of the user who will be accessing the cluster.
Password: Type the user’s password. If you do not want to be prompted
for the password again, click the “Remember this password” checkbox.
(For the password to be saved, you will also need to create a bookmark.)
Add to bookmarks: Click this checkbox to create a bookmark for this
connection. When you click OK on the Authentication Parameters dialog,
you can configure the bookmark on the Add Bookmark dialog.
Specify a name for the cluster or select an existing name from the drop-
down list. When you click OK, the bookmark will be added to the
Bookmarks display on the HP Clustered File System Connect window.
When you create a bookmark, the authentication information is added to
the .matrixrc file. If you checked the “Remember this password” checkbox
on the Authentication Parameters dialog, the stored information includes
the server name, the username, and password. The password is
automatically encrypted. If you do not check “Remember this password,”
only the server and user names are added to the file.
NOTE: The default location for the file is %userprofile%\.matrixrc on the
server.
