Chapter 5: Configure Servers 45
• Use the HP Management Console to change drive letter
assignments. Note that the change will take place on all nodes and
may affect applications.
• Use Windows Disk Manager to change the assignments.
If you are using Windows 2000 Terminal Services to make the change,
you will need to log out and then log back in before you can use the
reassigned drive letters. The log out/log in step is not necessary for
Windows 2003 Terminal Services or for Windows 2000/2003 local
console use.
NOTE: For improved performance, the HP CFS Management Console
caches hostname lookups. If your DNS changes, you may need to
restart the console so that it will reflect the new hostname.
Modify Server Properties
To modify the properties for a server in the cluster, select that server on
the Servers window, right-click, and select Properties. Then make your
changes on the Server Properties window.
Server: Enter the name or IP address of the server.
Server Severity: When a server fails completely because of a power
failure or other serious event, HP Clustered File System attempts to move
any virtual hosts from the network interfaces on the failed server to
backup network interfaces on healthy servers in the cluster.
When the original server is restored to normal operation (for example, the
power is restored and the server is rebooted), ClusterPulse uses the
