HP e-Commerce Server Accelerator SA7100/SA7120
1
Known Issues
Duplicate IP addresses resulting from
sharing configurations among cascaded
devices.
Device IP addresses are specified in the device’s configuration file,
thus if you employ multiple devices in a cascade and export a
configuration from one to another, both devices will have the same IP
address, a situation that cannot be permitted.
Workaround: Change the receiving device’s IP address while it’s in
bypass mode. Use the following procedure:
1. Verify that the configuration on Device 1 is as you want it.
2. Export Device 1’s configuration file. (Please see the export
config command in Chapter 5 of the User Guide.)
NOTE: You must use the
front panel bypass button.
Do not use the CLI’s
bypass command.
3. Press the bypass button on Device 2’s front panel to put the
machine in bypass mode.
4. On Device 2, import the configuration file you exported from
Device 1 in step 2 above. (Please see the import config
command in Chapter 5 of the User Guide.)
5. Change Device 2’s IP address using the set ip command.
6. Save Device 2’s configuration using the config save command.
7. Press the bypass button on Device 2’s front panel to put the
machine in inline mode.
SNMP “set” command not available.
The device does not support the SNMP manager’s set feature.
Workaround: None.
All ports must be uniquely defined
Uniquely define all ports, including components of mappings, and
those for Telnet, SSH, and SNMP. Failure to do so will prevent
access to one of the services.
