Accessing the

Boot Monitor

You can access the Boot Monitor Command Line Interface in either

of the two ways described in this section.

Interrupting the Bootup Sequence

1. Interrupt the SA8220’s bootup sequence by pressing a key at the

following prompt:

Press any key to stop autoboot.

In a few seconds the monitor> prompt displays, confirming

that the Boot Monitor is running:

Using the Run Time CLI

1. Type this command at the prompt:

config sys autoboot disable

2. Then, at the HP SA8220# prompt, type this command:

reboot

The monitor> prompt displays, confirming that the Boot

Monitor is running.
