Scenario 1:
Load

SA8250 in
Inline Mode
An Internet Service Provider (ISP) wants to set up a load-balanced,
two server web site named “Acme Web” with the SA8250 operating
in Dual NIC mode. The service is HTTP and the website's address is
30.1.1.201. This diagram shows the network configuration for
scenario 1.

Data Flow for Scenario 1
In Dual NIC mode, the SA8250 uses two Ethernet ports. One is
connected to the router or switch on which client requests arrive, and
the other is connected to the server-side subnet. By contrast, Single
NIC mode refers to configurations in which the SA8250
communicates with the router or switch and the servers using a single
Ethernet port. For more information, see Chapter 2.
