If the drive did not power itself on, use the OCP
to power on the drive now.
a. From Menu, select the Ops button.
b. Use the Up and Down buttons to select the
drive, then press the Select button.
c. Use the Up and Down buttons to change the
drive to on-line, then press the Select button.
d. Select the Back button to return to Menu.

To ensure the system finds the new drive, reset
the interface controller (IC) connected to the
SCSI drive. To do so, press the reset button with
a paper clip or other small object. Note:
During reset, drives attached to the IC will
disconnect from the SAN for 2-3 minutes. For
ICs acting as SIPP masters, the robotic LUN will
go offline for 2-3 minutes as well.

Close the back door of the library.
Note: If necessary, upgrade the drive
firmware using the Interface Manager's
command-line interface or the
HP StorageWorks Command View
ESL User Interface.
