Removing the shipping foam Removing the shipping foam After the packaging has been removed from the library, the shipping foam must be removed from around the bottom perimeter of the library (see Figure 1).

Removing the shipping foam After the front doors are unlocked and opened, additional shipping foam must be removed from the following areas (see Figure 2).

Removing the internal library frame restraint Removing the internal library frame restraint After the shipping foam has been removed from the library, the internal library frame restraint must also be removed from the front of the library (see Figure 3). 1. Remove the four 1/4-inch hex nuts securing the two pieces of the restraint. 2. Remove the 1/4-inch bolts securing the restraint to the top and bottom of the library frame.

Removing the panel shipping restraints Removing the panel shipping restraints After the counterweight shipping restraint has been removed, the panel shipping restraints must be removed. There are three on each side of the library cabinet. 1. Using a long screwdriver or similar object, press on the bottom of the white load port latching mechanism (see Figure 4) to disengage it and release the load port. Note: For clarity, the view in Figure 4 shows the panel shipping restraint from inside the library.

Removing the panel shipping restraints 2. Pull out the load port to expose the middle and lower shipping restraints (see Figure 5). 3. Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, remove the middle and lower panel shipping restraints. 4. Close the load port. 5. Locate the upper shipping restraint above the upper panel (see Figure 5) and remove it using a #2 Phillips screwdriver. 6. Repeat step 1 through step 5 for the panels on the other side of the library cabinet.

Powering on the library 7. Store the panel shipping restraint hardware (three sets on each side) on the lower cabinet frame (see Figure 6).
