HP recommends t
hat you upgrade to VCS 3.028 to realize the benefits included in this release.
To upgrade to V
CS 3.028, a co py of the system software is provided on the CD-ROM in the HP
StorageWorks
Virtual Controller Software media kit for dual HSV controllers.

NOTE:
You must be at VCS 3.014 or later to upgrade directly to VCS 3.028.
Licensing information
VCS 3.028 requires installation of new licenses as follows:
• HP StorageWorks Command View EVA is licensed separately. Acceptance of the license
agreement displayed during installation is the only licensing requirement for HP Command
View EV A.
• HP Business Copy EVA license to use (LTU) activates the local replication (snapshot and snapclone)
functionality and is licensed by capacity. HP Business Copy licenses purchased for use with VCS
3.0 will work with 3.028. For licensing information, see the HP StorageWorks Business Copy

• HP Continuous Access EVA license to use (LTU) activates the remote replication functionality
and is licensed by capacity. Licenses purchased for use with VCS 3.0 will work with 3.028.
