• Support is provided for single-path mode.

• The internal identiﬁcation of the EVA3000 controller is HSV101, and the internal identiﬁcation of

the EVA 5000 controller is HSV111. The HSV101 and HSV111 identiﬁcation is internal to the VCS

code, the bezel indicates EVA3000 (HSV100) or EVA5000 (HSV110).

• Support is provided for direct-connect host bus adapters (HBAs).

• The same HBA can attach to any combination of the following storage systems:

• HP Storag eWorks 3000/5000 Enterprise Virtual Array Active/Active (EVA 3000/ 5000 A / A)

• HP StorageWorks 4000/6000/8000 Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA4000/6000/8000)

• HP StorageWorks XP series

VCS 3.028 to VCS 4.00x migration

The Active/Active failover feature in VCS 4.00x imp acts host con ﬁgurations. Contact your HP service

representative to conﬁgure your system and perform the migration procedure.
