2. Remove the cache
battery. Some EVA models have a cache battery
locatedbehindt
he OCP.
a. If necessary, o
pen the OCP by squeezing the latch tabs
together (1, Fi
gure 3) and swinging the door open (2) to
check for a battery.
b. Move the battery mounting latch (3) to the right and grasp
the pull handle.
c. Position one hand under the battery, and p u ll the battery out
of the enclosure 4).

Installing a bat tery
Position the battery as high in the slot as possible, then slide the battery
into the enclosure (1, Figure 4) until it is fully seated and the mounti n g
latch engages.

Veri fying proper operation
After replacing the battery, check the following to verify that the
component is operating properly:
NOTE:
It may take up to 10 minutes for the component to display a good
status.
Check the batt
ery status indicators. See Table 1.
•Duringthers
t minute, both status indicators may be on or
ashing.
The status indicator should then begin ashing, indicating the
battery is ch
arging. It may take several hours for a new battery
to fully charge. The fault indicator should be off during charging.
After check
ing the status indicator, close the OC P door if open (2,
Figure 4), and install the front bezel on the enclosure by pressing
it rmly in
to place.

Navigate
to the component and check the status. It should be
(Good).
